Privacy Policy

The short version
- Chaos Choreographer helps you organize your cheer season. We keep only what the app needs to do that.
- We never see or store your card or bank details. Stripe handles subscription payments.
- Your season (comps, packing lists, money tracker, notes) is private to you. Your team sees only your children's first names and the sign-ups you choose.
- Contact info from a team roster is visible only to that team's team parents.
- Kids' photos stay on your device and are never uploaded.
- We don't sell your information, show ads or use tracking tools.
- You can delete your account and everything in it from the app at any time.
Who we are and who the app is for
Chaos Choreographer is a web app run by [Your name or business name] ("we," "us"). This policy covers the app at getchaoschoreographer.com and any version you add to your Home Screen.
Chaos Choreographer is made for parents and guardians of cheer athletes, and for team parents who organize a team. You must be 18 or older to create an account. The app is not meant for children to use themselves.
What we collect
We collect only what you type into the app or choose to share. You can use the app without an account; then everything stays in your browser on that device and nothing reaches us.

We ask for first names only. Please don't type last names, addresses or other details about your children into notes or updates.
What we never collect
- Bank account, credit card or payment login details. Stripe collects your card when you subscribe, and we never see it. The money tracker only holds amounts and notes you enter.
- Passwords. You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email.
- Your location, contacts list or photo library. The app only sees a photo or file you pick yourself.
- Advertising or tracking data. We don't use ad networks, analytics trackers or tracking cookies.
The app uses your browser's storage to keep your season and your sign-in on your device. Like any website, our hosting providers keep short-lived server logs (such as IP address, browser type and time of visit) to run and protect the service.
How we use it
We use your information only to run Chaos Choreographer for you:
- Sign you in and keep your season backed up and the same on every device you use.
- Deliver team updates, comp times and sign-ups to the families on your team.
- Let team parents invite families from their roster. Invites are sent from the team parent's own phone or email app, not by us.
- Answer you when you contact us, and keep the service secure.
We don't use your information for advertising or marketing, and we don't email you anything except sign-in codes and replies to your messages.
Who can see what. These rules are built into our database, not just the app: your private season is readable only by your account; team members can read only their own team's shared information; roster contact info is readable only by that team's team parents. We (the people running Chaos Choreographer) can access stored data only when needed to keep the service running, fix a problem or answer a request from you.
Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising. We use a few service providers to run the app. They handle data only on our behalf and under their own security and privacy terms:

When you choose to add events to Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar, or to text or email an invite, that information goes to the service you picked and is covered by its privacy policy.
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or as part of a sale or transfer of Chaos Choreographer, in which case this policy would still apply to your information.
Children's information
Chaos Choreographer is for parents, not children. Children don't create accounts or use the app, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
The information about your children comes from you, the parent: first name, team, position, uniform and shoe sizes, and their schedule. Only first names are shared with a team. Photos stay on your device. You can edit or remove a child at any time, which also removes their comps and practices from your season.
If you believe a child has given us information directly, contact us at hello@getchaoschoreographer.com and we will delete it.
Keeping and deleting your information
We keep your information while you have an account. You're in control of removing it:
- Delete my account (in the app, under your account) permanently deletes your email, your backed-up season and your team memberships right away. If you are the only team parent on a team, that team and everything shared in it (updates, sign-ups, comp times, roster) are deleted too. Other families keep the comps already saved on their own devices.
- Leave a team removes you and your family label from that team.
- Sign out removes your season from that device. It stays safe in your account until you sign in again or delete the account.
- Team parents can remove any family from their roster at any time.
Deleted information may remain in our providers' backups for up to 30 days before it is overwritten. We may keep information longer only if the law requires it.
Security
- Everything sent between the app and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS).
- Sign-in codes are single-use and expire within an hour, so there's no password to steal or reuse.
- Database rules control who can read each piece of information, as described in "How we use it."
- Team codes are needed to join a team. Nobody can search for or browse teams.
No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach that affects your information, we will tell you by email as required by law. Keep your email account secure, since that's how you sign in.
Your choices and rights
Wherever you live, you can:
- See and correct your information. Almost all of it is visible and editable in the app.
- Get a copy of the information we hold about you by emailing hello@getchaoschoreographer.com.
- Delete your account and its information from the app, or by emailing us.
- Use the app without an account. Your season then stays only on your device.
We answer requests within 30 days and never charge for them. We may ask you to confirm the request from the email address on your account. Residents of some states, including Virginia and California, have these rights by law; we offer them to everyone.
If you're a team parent. When you import a roster, you're sharing other parents' contact info with us. Only import families on your team, use their info just for team communication, and remove anyone who asks. Families who join with your code control their own accounts; you can't see their private season.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For changes that affect how your information is shared, we'll also show a notice in the app before they take effect.
